Storage/Transport Temperature: Plasma - Critical Frozen. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Whole blood - Frozen.
Stability: Plasma: Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 month
Whole blood: Ambient: 72 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: Unacceptable.
Unacceptable Conditions: Serum, clotted or hemolyzed specimens. Frozen specimens in glass collection tubes.
