Anaplasma phagocytophilum (HGA) AB, IGG & IGM

Methodology: Indirect Fluorescent Antibody

Specimen Required: Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) - 1.0 ml serum
Specimen Preparation : 
• Allow the tube to rest in an upright position for at least 30 minutes but not longer than 1 hour after collection to ensure proper clotting 
• Centrifuge for at least 15 minutes within one hour of collection. 
• Do not remove the stopper or pour off serum.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated
Stability: Refrigerate : 48 hours after collection. After 48 hours, specimen must be frozen: 1 month.
COMMENT: 
These test need to be collected on Monday-Thursday to ensure the specimen is received at our reference lab within stability.
