Collect: OneSwab® OR UroSwab® (males and females) OR ThinPrep® OR Whole blood Yellow top tube (ACD solution A)  

 
Specimen Preparation: See attached file for OneSwab® OR UroSwab® (males and females) OR ThinPrep® 

For Whole blood Yellow top tube (ACD solution A):  
 
Completely fill the tube whenever possible to eliminate dilution from the anticoagulant and ensure the proper blood-to-anticoagulant ratio. Immediately after blood collection, invert the tube(s) gently 8-10 times to ensure mixing of anticoagulant with blood to prevent clotting.  
 
-Do not shake tube(s). 
 
-Do not centrifuge specimen.

Candida parapsilosis,
Candida glabrata,
Candida tropicalis,
Candida krusei.

NOTE: Please list specimen source on the container and test requisition form.
