Specimen Required: | Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Red Top Tube - 0.5 ml serum.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature . Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. If tube other than a gel-barrier tube is used, transfer separated serum to a plastic transport tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Stability: After separation of cells: Refrigerated: 1 week , Frozen: 1 month
