| Specimen Required: | Collect: Red-top Tube OR Gel-barrier Tube OR Lavender-top (EDTA) Tube - 0.8 ml serum or plasma.
Patient Preparation : No isotopes administered 24 hours prior to venipuncture.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. If a red-top tube or lavender-top tube is used, transfer separated serum or plasma to a plastic transport tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
