| Specimen Required: | Collect: Lt. Blue (sodium citrate) - 0.5 ml plasma. Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature . Separate plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer platelet-poor plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. Storage/Transport Temperature: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Unacceptable Conditions: Serum. EDTA plasma or hemolyzed specimens. Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 month NOTE: * This test is approved for all states. *
