Patient Preparation: a FASTING blood sample is NOT REQUIRED 

Collect: Gray (sodium fluoride) OR SST (Serum Separator Tube) - 0.5 ml

Specimen Preparation: 

- Draw 1 HR specimen after 75g glucose (dextrose);
- During the test period, the patient should remain inactive and receive nothing by mouth (including tobacco);
-Separate plasma or serum from cells within 45 min. of venipuncture.

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.

Stability: Refrigerated : 7 days after separation from the cells.

Note: Gray Top Tube may be submitted without  centrifugation.
           Indicate the collection time interval.
