| Specimen Required: | Special Instructions : This procedure does not provide serial monitoring; it is intended for one-time use only. If serial monitoring is required, please order Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Quantitative, Real-time PCR (Graphical) test
Collect: Lavender (EDTA) OR Serum Separator Tube (SST) - 2.5 ml plasma or serum.
Specimen Preparation: Centrifuge sample within 24 hours of collection. Transfer serum/plasma to a screw-cap transport tube. Ship frozen (preferred). To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit a separate frozen specimen for each test requested.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Freeze (preferred) OR Refrigerate.
Unacceptable Conditions: Incorrect anticoagulant Stability: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours; Frozen: 1 month
