Specimen Required: Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Green (sodium or lithium heparin) - 1 ml serum or plasma.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature . Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer  plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. 
Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 2 hours; Refrigerated: 7 days; Frozen: 1 month
