Specimen Required: Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Sodium heparin (green-top) tube - 2 ml serum or plasma
Specimen Preparation: Centrifuge and remove serum or plasma from cells, transfer  serum or plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature

Unacceptable Conditions: Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic specimens.  

Stability: After separation from cells: Room Temperature: 4 days; Refrigerated: 7 days; Frozen: 10 month
