Specimen Required:

Collect: Nasopharyngeal (UTM) swab
Alternative Specimen(s): ESwab ( Liquid elution swab)


Specimen Preparation:

- Open the peel pouch

- Remove the swab

- Collect the patient sample using the swab. 

- Remove the screw cap from the tube and insert the swab all the way to the bottom of the tube.

- Screw the cap on tightly to prevent leakage

- Apply patient information on the tube label.

 

Components: Chlamydophila Pneumoniae (CP); Mycoplasma Pneumoniae (MP); Legionella Pneumophila (LP); Bordetella Pertussis (BP); Bordetella Parapertusis (BPP); Streptococcus Pneumoniae (SP); Haemophilus Influenza (HI).

 

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated

Stability:  Refrigerated or Frozen : 5 days
