Theophylline

Methodology: Theophylline is a solidphase, enzyme-labeled, competitive chemiluminescent immunoassay.

Specimen Required: Collect: Red Top Tube - 0.5 ml serum
Specimen Preparation:  Following oral dosage with solid formulation, samples should be drawn 4 hours post-dose to allow for complete absorption and distribution. Allow blood samples to clot (15 mins). Separate the serum from the cells by centrifuging for 10 minutes. 
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. 
Stability: After separation of cells: 7 days at 2–8°C or 2 months at –20°C.
