| Specimen Required: | Collect: Plain Red OR Green (sodium or lithium heparin) OR Royal Blue (Sodium Hep Lead-Free) OR Tan-Top (Sod Heparin Lead-Free OR Green (Sodium Heparin) - 1 ml serum or plasma.
INSTRUCTIONS: Draw at peak (2-4 hours after dose) or trough (0.5-1 hour before dose) at steady state.
Specimen Preparation: Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer serum or plasma to a Standard Transport Tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room Temperature
Stability: After separation from cells: Room Temperature : 7 days;
Refrigerated: 1 week, Frozen : 1 month.
Rejection Criteria: Do not use gel barrier/Serum Separator tubes.
