Methodology: Quantitative High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Specimen Required: Collect: Green (sodium or lithium heparin) - 1 ml plasma. 
Specimen Preparation: Protect from light during collection, storage and shipment. Separate plasma from cells within 1 hour of collection. Transfer plasma to a Amber Transport Tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are requested.
Unacceptable Conditions: Serum, whole blood, or body fluids. EDTA preserved tubes. Non-frozen, hemolyzed, or lipemic specimens. 
Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 month
