Specimen Required: Collect: Royal Blue (K2EDTA) AND 2 Green (sodium eparin) AND Serum Separator Tube (SST) AND Lavender (EDTA) as extra. 
Specimen preparation: 
For Vitamin B6 : Immediately separate plasma (Green) from red cells. Transfer plasma to a Transport Tube.  Protect specimen from light. Keep refrigerated. 
Vitamin A: Protect SST Tube from light. Keep refrigerated .
Zinc: Do not allow plasma (Royal Blue) to remain on cells. Centrifuge and pour off plasma ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer plasma - 0.5 ml to a Transport Tube. Keep refrigerated .
Vitamin B1: Centrifuge (Green) tube within 1 hours of collection and transfer plasma - 0.5 ml to a Transport Tube. Protect from light. Keep refrigerated .
Vitamin C : Centrifuge (Green) tube within 1 hours of collection and transfer plasma- 1 ml to a Transport Tube. Protect from light. Keep FROZEN. 
Selenium: Centrifuge (Royal Blue); do not allow plasma to remain on cells. Transfer plasma - 2 ml to a Transfer Tube. Keep refrigerated. 
Vitamin B2: Centrifuge (Green) tube within 1 hours of collection and transfer plasma - 2 ml to a Transport Tube. Protect from light. Keep FROZEN. 
Stability: Refrigerated : 1 week, Frozen : 1 month
