| Specimen Required: | Collect: Red Top Tube - 2 ml serum
Specimen Preparation: Collect trough just prior to next dose. For patients receiving fosphenytoin therapy, collect as peak (at least 2 hours after IV infusion or at least 4 hours after IM injection).
Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection, transfer separated serum to a plastic transport tube.
