Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation : The patient need not be fasting.
Collect: Red-top tube OR Green-top (heparin) tube - 0.5 ml serum or plasma Specimen Preparation: Separate serum or plasma cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer serum or plasma in a Standard Transport Tubes and freeze immediately.
Storage/Transport Temperature: CRITICAL FROZEN.
Additional specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Unacceptable Conditions: Refrigerated or room temperature specimens, Whole blood.
Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 month
