| Specimen Required: | Collect: Lithium heparin (green-top) 10 ml tube . Small 4 ml Tubes x2 also acceptable. Whole blood.
Specimen Preparation: Collect 10 mL of blood by venipuncture into a lithium heparin (green-top) tube. Gently mix by inverting the tube several times to dissolve the heparin. Storage/Transport Temperature: Stability: Refrigerated: 48 hours. Room temperature: Unacceptable.
