Specimen Required:

Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) - 1.0 ml serum.

Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature.  Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection.

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.

Stability : After separation from cells:  Room Temperature: 48 hrs; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 year (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)

Unacceptable Conditions:Contaminated, hemolyzed, or severely lipemic specimens.
